Hi, I'm Tiffany!

The Philly Kindness Index is my love letter to the people and places doing meaningful work across Philly. From tiny grassroots teams juggling 12 hats at once to long-established nonprofits making big impact behind the scenes, I have an immense love for those doing real good.

After 15+ years in the nonprofit world, I’ve seen magic happen at every level. I’ve always gravitated toward the scrappy stuff — duct tape, heart, and borrowed folding tables. But I’ve also worked alongside powerhouse orgs with the reach to shake things up. Both matter. Both are here.

I love connecting people to real-world opportunities — especially the kind happening just around the corner.

I’ve built programs from scratch, supported mission-driven teams, and organized volunteers whose generosity, grit, and sheer presence have changed lives (often in ways they’ll never fully realize).

I love finding creative ways to lift up the work that matters most. I love showing people that doing good doesn’t have to be complicated … sometimes it’s just knowing where to start.

This site is part resource, part passion project. You can search by neighborhood, category, or vibe. Whether you want to volunteer, get inspired, or just wander through a map full of civic serotonin, it’s all here.

Everything here — from the research to the layout to the ridiculous number of Google Sheets involved — was created by one very detail-obsessed human (hi, it’s me) and a somewhat helpful tuxedo cat named Riley, who thinks she’s in charge of quality control, snacks, and morale.

Why did I build it? Because the good stuff — the real stuff — deserves to be easier to find. Philly’s full of people doing incredible things, and I wanted to make a space that reflects that. If this helps you find your place, your people, or just a reason to believe in the city a little more … then I’m calling it a win. And so is your community.
